Looking Back at my gain in my face

Yah, so these pics aren't flattering really, but I wanted to see the change in my face as I gained. I started off at 137 lbs in late July and ballooned up to 173 by the end of January. I DEFINITELY like my face better now. When I was skinny it was like too bony or something. I dunno.

Anyway, here's what I got. =)

Finally stretch marks pic

Long overdue, I know...



They got worse even when I stopped gaining. I guess my body was still moving things around? I dunno.

Thanks for all your comments in my last entry. It's encouraging to see how many people check up on my blog. =) I know i've been posting less.. but I'm not done!

In other news, my recovery is going really well. I'm 3 weeks post-op and still sore as hell no doubt! But no infection at this point probably means I don't have to worry about that and it should be smooth sailing from here on out. =)

Also, I've decided on my plan for this year regarding my gaining and weight. I'll share that in detail in my next entry. It will probably be dissappointing to many of you but maybe not. Who knows. So that's coming soon. Thanks for reading if you did!

My Arm Gained

My arm went from 11.0" to 13.0" since August 1st measuring at the thickest part near my armpit. That's a 23% gain which is tied with the highest percentage gain with my neck.

I really LOVE my arms so much better since I gained.

I feel like pics don't even do them justice honestly. I can tell so much on a daily basis how much softer and different my arms are.

Week 24, Day 1: My Butt Got Too Big..lol

I totally can't even get close to wearing these jeans anymore. These are Chrissie's fav pair. They are really nice.




My butt totally won't even let me get close to getting in those anymore.. ahh well

Also, yesterday I ordered a pizza. I planned on eating 3 pieces (like I used to) and then ya know, guzzling some olive oil but um... I seriously could not stop eating it. I ate 5 pieces and realized there were only 3 left for Chrissie, so I stopped. I swear I could ate that whole thing. Dang. Maybe my appetite really has grown. This might be harder to stop than I thought.

And I was 172 this morning. I'm going to keep at 40% monounsaturated fat as much as I can and then redo measurements every week or two or when I feel like it to see if my fat distribution changes. That's still fun right? =) It is for me anyways.

Week 20, Day 4: I ate A LOT yesterday

Yah, so somehow I ended up eating 4,020 calories yesterday. That is probably the most in my whole life...lol

If I don't gain from these last 3 days I will be stunned.

12/10 - 3,350 calories
12/11 - 3,725 calories
12/12 - 4,020 calories
Amount to stay same weight: 1600 calories

Yah... so I basically overate 6295 calories. That should equal out to almost 2 lbs of gain. I was 169 this morning. 169.4 actually so I guess that's right on.

Can you believe I'm .6 lbs away from 170?



Calories today 12/13:
double black bean burger w/cheese & soymilk = 580 cal
straight olive oil = 480 (it really is kind of good once you get used to it)
Large Avacado w/fresh squeezed lemon juice and vinegar = 370 calories
Pop and skittles = 490 calories
len-chili soup w/feta = 290
1 pita with hummus = 465
1 serving tabouli = 130
straight olive oil = 240 calories
cereal = 220 calories

Total : 3,205

I'm off today and so I haven't showered and I'm still in my PJ's past noon, heh, but I shot some pics to show my progress. I'm feeling kinda chubby. I yikes =)

You can see our little doggie Lulu in this one (by accident!) ha...







I might do some comparisons soon too. See if there's any big changes. =)

Week 19, Day 4: Booty pic! heh

I never do this but I love this pic sooo might as well.



My butt is definately growing. I don't think my measurements of it are really reflecting all the growth because where I really feel it and notice it is more towards my thighs, and I measure at the middle point. Even still, I've expanded over 3 inches at the middle point. You can see my thighs are filling in too and even my fingers look chubbier! (they are, definately..I love them so much more!)

ummmmmm other than that... 167 again this morning. That's good. Don't want to go too fast and I'm definitely gaining still. Doing good eating less carbs and lots of monounsaturated fats too. I really hope we see a difference from that in a few weeks. I hope I hope I hope... if not, at least it's probably healthier.

Also, been getting depressed again lately. I'm such a rollercoaster I swear.

I was 166 again today... that's the first I was 166 2 days in a row. I'm getting very close to that 30 lb mark! Almost time for new measurements. =) I feel a new softness around my entire body at this point.. It's really nice actually. Love how it feels. =)

I look pretty chubby in that last pic don't I? Some angles I look more chubby than others. Guess it's like that for everyone tho.

Also, 166 this morning. =) So I'm still gaining. Gotta keep eating! It's been kinda hard lately.. don't know why? Could be the anti-biotics I'm on.. friggin bronchitus.

Week 16, Day 1: Getting Chubbier

Yah, I'm definitely getting chubbier. I've been holding steady at 163 these past couple days so I should be exceeding my new highest weight ever (164 lbs) very soon!

I found a before pic of me from about two years ago when I was pretty skinny... 143 lbs and I have the same shirt, so I put it on for some after pictures to see if there's a difference from 20 more lbs.

And here's a comparison of just my face.




To be fair, I think that angle makes me look pretty chubby in that 2nd pic! There are things I like and things I don't like about the new weight on me. I like how I'm softer for example, and I like my thighs better, and my chest better and my face better... but then there are things I don't like very much too.. like how most of my weight goes to my belly and not enough to my hips, and how there's so much in my neck. Yuck! And its harder to kneel down! I know that sounds weird. It's not "hard" for me to kneel but I can definitely feel the new weight getting in my way. I guess you notice when you've been a stick your whole life.

And then of course the societal stuff. I feel uglier sometimes.. not that I feel ugly, but I perceive that others don't think I'm as attractive anymore. Friends tell me I look "healthier" but I have this feeling that they are really saying more than that when I'm not around. I dunno. I've had them reminding me of how jealous they were about my skinniness for too long.

I think overall I'm really enjoying this though. I've never really planned on keeping all the weight I gain and I'm still planning on losing some when I'm done. So far I think I feel best right at 150 lbs. We'll see though. =)

All my 25 lb measurements & my Thighs

Okay, so I'm ready to share my latest measurements. Here's what I gained from 157 lbs to 162 lbs from most to least

1.25" at Bustline
1.00" at Bellybutton
1.00" on Neck

.75" at Waistline
.75" at Chest (at armpits)

.50" at Hips
.50" on my Booty
.50" on my Thighs
.50" on my Arms
.50" just under my bustline


I haven't gotten a lot in my thighs yet, but I have gotten 2.25" overall which is an 11% growth.



I also did a couple comparisons but I'd say the differences are very subtle. Also, I'm kinda embarassed about my thighs soo I'm surprised I'm showing them at all!

The earlist pic I had was at 142 lbs, so it actually shows a 1.75" gain instead of the full 2.25"

Day 101! Still gaining...

Well, yesterday was my 100th day of gaining! Wow, has it been that much already? And unexpectedly a couple more pounds showed up. I'm 27 lbs up now.. wow

Day 1: 137 lbs *start*
Day 2: 138 lbs
Day 6: 139 lbs (1 week)
Day 9: 140 lbs
Day 10: 142 lbs

Day 15: 144 lbs (2 weeks)
Day 22: 145 lbs (3 weeks)

Day 36: 151 lbs (5 weeks)
Day 45: 152 lbs (6 weeks)

Day 48: 155 lbs
Day 63: 156 lbs (9 weeks)
Day 68: 157 lbs *1st goal reached!
Day 69: 158 lbs (10 weeks)
Day 77: 159 lbs (11 weeks)

Day 87: 160 lbs (12 weeks)
Day 90: 161 lbs
Day 91: 163 lbs (13 weeks)
Day 101: 164 lbs

So guess what? I'm ONE POUND AWAY from being officially overweight for the first time!

Belly Measurements (25 lb gain comparison)

So I've been averaging an inch on my belly every 5 lbs I gain and I've gained another inch sooo I guess that's how it goes for me. =)

Measurements at my bellybutton
137 lbs = 31.5"
142 lbs = 32.75"
147 lbs = 33.5"
152 lbs = 34.0"
157 lbs = 35.75"
162 lbs = 36.75"

TOTAL gained at bellybutton: 5.25"

average gained per 5 lbs: 1.05"

So here was my belly at 137 lbs, 31.5"


And here's me now after a 25 lb and 5" gain

On outgrowing my jeans... Part I

Yah, so I noticed for the first time this week, that i'm really having to squeeze into my pants! I bought 1 new pair right now and they are probably now the ONLY pair I feel comfortable in..lol Strange how this happens. I mean, I look in the mirror sometimes and its like ehh... I haven't really gained THAT much ya know? I mean, I'm not even chubby really. But I've definately outgrown my pants. I even popped a button on one pair..lol

Anyway, I'm also noticing that i'm coming over the sides of them so I took a pic to show you what I mean.



Back to 161 the last couple days though so it could be a little before I do my next measurements still. I want to be 162 or higher 3 days in a row before I do them cuz weight can fluctuate so much.
